By comparing Windows 7 with Windows XP, the main feature it misses is the Run command shortcut in Windows 7 start menu. We all know the importance of RUN command in our daily computer usage (Search box in Windows 7 is doing very well for this for Windows 7) but due to some mysterious reason it is not available in Windows 7 Start menu. There is a way to bring back Run command in Windows 7 Start menu. To do this we should enable Run Command in Start menu properties. Steps to Bring back Run Command in Windows 7 Start Menu To bring back Run Command in Windows 7 start menu follow the steps below. 1. Right click on Windows 7 Start menu ![]() 2. Click on Properties Now Taskbar and Start Menu Properties Window will be opened. ![]() 3. Click on Customize button Click on Customize button under Start Menu tab. Now Windows 7 start menu customization option window will be opened.
